The Price of your car : Owning a Ferrari is it worth it?
I've been dreaming of having my very own Ferrari. Once I saw it on Persuaders back in the early 70's with Danny Wild driving his fierce red Ferrari all around Europe. Boy, it was really fast and you'll come to realize that it was only meant to be driven fast once you've tried it. It's hard to use this fast car on the road because of what we call speed limit you'll only get frustrated driving this car far from its real purpose. Yes, you can still drive your Ferrari on highways but you cannot drive it in full speed. I sound like I have my own Ferrari but I actually don't. I tried driving once when I hired a Ferrari and drove it in the racetrack with the supervision of an instructor of course. After that, my perception of owning this fast car changed instantly. I cannot find other reason than treating it as a status symbol. You cannot drive this car to the max at around 150mph because of the speed limit and being a law abiding citizen, which means driving this mean machine to 30mph is such a burden. In addition to that, my driving instructor even shared some facts about the cost of buying a Ferrari, which includes the yearly maintenance for the parts, servicing and insurance. Aside from that, he also said to calculate the hours I'll get to drive the car, and then determine the hours I'll drive the car the way it was designed for. In the end, I got a fancy sum for both situations for just an hour of using that car. So, hiring a Ferrari just like what I did was actually a good deal.
With all the facts I got, thanks to my driving instructor. I finally got to my senses and I'll just stick to a more convenient car. But once I'm in the racetrack I'm well-aware that I'm getting a bargain than the rich and famous. If you like to give Ferrari a try you can find lots of great deals around the UK for £99 and up and find out whether you'll still see your dream car the same way again.
